Online Solutions worked within Shell’s stringent brand and design guidelines to craft a fully accessible global community website that meets AA W3C web accessibility standards, ensuring that all entrepreneurs—regardless of ability—can interact with Shell LiveWIRE’s content and tools. This comprehensive approach to design and development balanced functionality with aesthetics, preserving Shell’s brand identity while meeting the needs of a diverse, global audience.

Built on the third-party Hivebrite content management system (CMS), the platform pushes the limits of off-the-shelf technology, demonstrating exceptional flexibility in customizing workflows and features. These customizations allow the site to highlight key initiatives, such as the bi-annual Top Ten Innovators competition, and seamlessly integrate with Submittable for entry management. The result is a user-friendly yet robust system that guides applicants from the Shell LiveWIRE website to Submittable with minimal friction, streamlining both submission and review processes.

By combining robust accessibility measures, cutting-edge design, and a flexible CMS framework, Online Solutions delivered a platform that not only reflects Shell’s commitment to global entrepreneurship but also actively empowers users to engage with the program and its resources.
